We can’t wait to see what you will bring to the stage and we are so grateful you are a part of our community and you want to help support us in continuing to provide a great performing arts experience for all of our current and future students.
Eligibility and Audition Details: (please read thoroughly as details have changed!)
Who is eligible to audition?
Any Spero student who has been enrolled in camp or been cast in a Spero show.
Immediate family members of a Spero student who meets the above criteria. (Immediate includes parents, siblings or grandparents.)
Friends of Spero students who are performing WITH them. (In other words, people who have never been in a camp or Spero show can only audition if they are auditioning WITH a Spero student.)
How do I participate/audition?
Step 1: Figure out what song/scene/talent you want to perform.
Step 2: If performing in a group, make sure to organize the people in the group BEFORE you register. Assign a point person who will represent the group and register the group.
Step 3: Register your group by completing the form below, where you will include your name or group name, song title, type of act, exact length of the act, and the names of ALL the people performing in your group. If this information is not completely ready to submit, you should NOT register until it is. Registration form is due by August 16th, 2024.
Step 4: Prepare your act. Rehearse until it is show-ready, and THEN submit your audition video. If your video seems incomplete or unfinished, in terms of the condition of the performance, we will not consider your act for the show. (In other words, if you send a video and say to us “the actual performance will be better than this, but you get the idea,” your act will not be considered for the show.)
Step 5: Film and submit your audition video no later than August 23, 2024. Submit your video to our GoogleDrive folder linked in our emails.
FAQs:
Can I perform in more than one act?
Possibly. You may audition with a maximum of three acts, but they may not all be chosen for the show.
How long can my act be?
Each act can be no longer than 2.5 minutes max.
How will Spero decide which acts are selected?
When selecting acts to be performed, we will consider the following criteria:
Preparedness/Level of performance quality
Variety in types of acts
Striving to include as many different people as possible
When will I know if my act(s) got selected?
We will notify you no later than August 30, 2024
What if one of my acts is not selected?
We are planning to have an “open mic/karaoke” night in the auditorium one Saturday evening in September or October. We would love to have any acts that are not selected for Spero Spirit Night can be performed at open mic night instead!

Sunday, September 8th at 4:30pm at Wilshire Avenue Community Church Gymnasium - 212 E. Wilshire Avenue, Fullerton.
